1 Mile Family Walk, 5k Run            Big Bend Village Park

Always in Our Hearts Walk/Run - Oct. 2009

This is a Family Event to celebrate the lives of our children that have left too soon.  We encourage parents that have lost a child to come and spend a morning meeting others to remember our children.  After the walk there will be a dedication ceremony where each child’s name will be read.  Also, we will have a memory board that you can put your child’s picture on.  This year we are having raffles, a clown for the kids, and will be selling brats and hot dogs.  There will be an appearance by the Racing Sausages.  This event is sponsored by the Big Bend/Vernon Lions Club.  You can register the day of the walk from 8-9:30A.M.

Proceeds will be given to Camp Hope and Compassionate Friends-Waukesha Chapter.  Camp Hope is a camp for children that have lost a loved one to help them grieve in a positive and supportive manner. Compassionate Friends is a support group for Parents that have lost a child.

Directions:  Take I-43 towards Beloit Exit Hwy 164 (Waukesha/Big Bend Exit).  Go South, Continue Hwy 164 through Big Bend.  Right on to Hwy L (24).  Proceed 2 blocks and turn right on Riverside Street.
